Welcoming, friendly and relaxed classes.
We will start the session with a demonstration, showing the children a range of techniques for painting a fantastic lizard.
The children will create their own artwork to take home and treasure.
We use high-quality artist materials, and all materials are included in the workshop price. We provide children with guidance at all times so they feel happy and inspired.
Please wear old clothes or bring an apron as we'll be getting messy!

A Fun-Filled Day of Creative Exploration
Give your child the opportunity to immerse themselves in artistic discovery, creativity and imagination.
We’ll be creating under-the-sea-themed art, including paper mache and 2-D art.
Children will experiment with a variety of artistic processes, developing their own ideas and creating original pieces to treasure and take home.
Set in our welcoming studio, the day is designed to nurture creativity, confidence and a love of art through engaging, hands-on experiences.
We'll stop for a supervised lunch break before returning to the studio for more creativity.
Daily schedule:
10:00am – Arrival and creative studio session
Short lunch break with supervised games and activities

Our friendly and nurturing Art Club gives children the freedom to explore their creativity, experiment with exciting techniques and, most importantly, enjoy making art.
Designed for ages 6–13, our classes encourage creativity while helping children develop concentration, observation, and problem-solving.
About the Art Club
Professional artists Kirstin Handley and Aniela Dublaszewska run the Art Club from their Queen Street Art School studio, sharing their passion, experience and love of art with young people.
It’s a beautiful, well-equipped, spacious, light-filled space, the perfect environment where children can develop a treasured collection of artwork over time. Many of our students have gone on to achieve art scholarships, thanks to the skills, confidence and portfolios they have developed with us.
Every class is hands-on and carefully planned by Kirstin and Aniela. Children explore drawing, painting, mixed media and 3D art, experimenting with exciting materials, innovative techniques and creative ideas.

Each session begins with an artist demonstration, introducing techniques and ideas that children can explore during class.
Our programme changes each month. We explore a wide variety of artistic materials and subjects. We discover the lives and work of famous artists and different art movements, so children are fascinated and eager to learn more.

About
Kirstin Handley and Aniela Dublaszewska run the art classes from their studio at Queen Street Art School, where they practice as artists.
This short course will provide tailored support for children applying for art scholarships.
We will run some structured lessons focusing on still lives, using realistic and contemporary techniques.
The classes will be very limited in numbers to ensure each child receives plenty of one-to-one advice and support.
We will also review the students' partwork portfolios and write cover letters for each student.
We use artist-quality art materials, all included in the workshop. price
