Location: Artists Studio - 37 Queen Street.
Suitable for all abilities, from complete beginners to more experienced artists.
A relaxed, friendly, and encouraging atmosphere.
This class takes a broad look at portraiture, helping students to draw the head and the facial features. There will be a new model each week with poses of varying lengths.
Students will think about form and design, techniques and stylistic features that can help express the model's character. Using different drawing methods and materials, you will learn about the proportions of the head and how to create the illusion of volume.
Sam will offer technical support and guidance so students feel comfortable experimenting with different mediums to create various works of art.
All artist-quality materials are included in the price of the classes,
Tea, coffee and biscuits are also provided.
