A relaxed, friendly and encouraging atmosphere, suitable for all abilities, from beginners to experienced artists.
Clothing can be dramatic or dynamic or tell about a person’s character. Drawing from clothed models is a more forgiving figure drawing, as many anatomical complexities are covered with material. But also, for experienced artists, it presents its own challenges, and drawing drapery over form is an important skill to develop.
Students will draw a new model each week with poses of varying lengths. They will receive technical instruction and be encouraged to experiment with various styles, materials, and techniques to create a variety of artwork. With references to art history, we will examine how the figure can be used expressively and how the colour and marks we make affect a picture.
All artist-quality materials are included in the price of the classes,
