A relaxed, friendly and encouraging atmosphere, suitable for all abilities, from beginners to experienced artists.
In this course, students will be introduced to various aspects of landscape painting.
Each lesson will focus on a specific, characteristic element of the genre, such as trees, clouds, buildings, and water. Working in the classroom from printed pictures, rather than outside En Plein Air, will help students understand the challenges of depicting space and mixing colours.
This is a chance to break the ice, try new techniques, and learn what it takes to create a good, impactful composition. This course will equip students with the skills to draw from nature independently.
We will work from paintings and photographs, translating our source material into an impressionistic idiom.
All art materials are included in the price of the classes,
Tea, coffee and biscuits are also provided.
