Adults Art Class. Paint Like A Post-Impressionist. 4 - Weeks Monday Evening April 2025.

A relaxed, friendly and encouraging atmosphere, suitable for all abilities, from beginners to experienced artists.
This new course will trace the origins and development of Post-Impressionism, examining the work of three artists: Paul Cezanne, Vincent Van Gogh and Georges Seurat. With each lesson, we will learn about the lives and achievements of these painters and try to make pictures that relate to their respective styles, spirits, and techniques.
There will be a variety of materials to work from: paintings, photographs and still lives.
Students will work in gouache and acrylic paint to produce creative responses to the art, to add their own ideas and personality, rather than imitate the manner of the masters. The class will have a relaxed, friendly and encouraging atmosphere, suitable for all abilities; from beginners to experienced artists.
All art materials are included in the price of the classes.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are also provided.
