Late attendance
Please note that if you or your child arrives late for any reason, we may not be able to accommodate you.
Bookings, refunds and cancellations
Half-term / Easter / Summer / Christmas Workshops
- All workshops must be paid for in advance to Queen Street Art School.
- Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and are secured once the payment has been received.
- We do not offer refunds. If you or your child is unable to attend for any reason, we are happy for you to find someone else to take your place. You will need to email us with details of who will be attending the class.
- Alternatively, we may be able to offer you a different workshop depending on space and availability. Please email us at least 48 hours in advance to make arrangements.
- If, for any reason, we have to cancel a workshop, you will be refunded in full.
- Non- attendance will result in no refund. We are very sorry, but we cannot refund the cost of the session.

- Existing students are given priority over new students in our booking system. Places are only secured once payment has been received.
- If, for any reason, we have to cancel a lesson, you will be refunded by Queen Street Art School.

- Please be aware that we use art materials that may stain clothing, so please ensure you or your child is dressed in old clothes or brings an apron with them. Queen Street Art School takes no responsibility for paint-stained or damaged clothing.
- Please inform us if you or your child has any health issues or anxieties before your child attends classes with us.
- We sometimes take photos or video clips of our students showcasing their artwork, which we use on our website, Facebook and Instagram, for marketing purposes. If you or your child wishes to opt out of this, please let us know by email.
Behaviour
- Students should behave in a way that is kind and respectful to one another. We also ask the students to take good care of our art materials and equipment once inside our studio.
Collection
- Children must be collected promptly by an adult/carer at the end of the class or workshop. We cannot be held responsible for children who have not been collected on time, but we will do our best to help if we are available.
Gift Card & Voucher
- All gift cards are dated and expire 24 months from the date of issue.
- Gift cards cannot be exchanged or refunded.
- Gift cards can be redeemed for the same or higher value of the workshop or art course as the gift card
Health & Safety: We are not responsible for any allergies or medical conditions.
Personal Belongings: We are not liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings brought into the studio.
Photography & Media
Consent: By attending the party, you consent to photographs and videos being taken for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be included, please inform us before the event.
Miscellaneous
Behaviour: We reserve the right to refuse entry or eject any person whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate or disruptive.
SAFEGUARDING SUMMARY – CHILDREN’S ART CLASSES (AGES 6–14)
Setting: Private Art Classes
Session Length: 1.5 hours
Staffing: 2 adults, max 17 children

All children have the right to feel safe, respected, and listened to.
- We have DBS checks
- We are both Paediatric First Aid trained.
- We understand basic safeguarding principles
SUPERVISION & RATIOS
- Maximum 17 children, 2 adults
- Children are supervised at all times.
- Treat all children fairly and with respect
- Maintain appropriate boundaries
- Avoid physical contact unless necessary (e.g. first aid)
- Never use inappropriate language or behaviour
- Ensure activities are age-appropriate and safe
CHILD PROTECTION If a child:
- Raises a concern
We will decide the next steps (including contacting appropriate services if needed).
RECORD KEEPING
- All concerns are recorded and dated
- Accident/incident book is maintained
- Records are stored securely and confidentially
ARRIVAL & COLLECTION
- Only authorised adults may collect children
- Emergency contact details are held for each child
HEALTH & SAFETY
- Risk assessments completed.
- First aid kit available at all times
- Allergies/medical needs recorded.
BEHAVIOUR
- Clear expectations for respectful behaviour
- Bullying or unsafe behaviour is addressed immediately
- Parents informed if necessary
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
- In case of serious injury: call emergency services (999)
- Contact parent/carer immediately
- Follow venue evacuation procedures if required
