My daughter has been attending art classes led by Aniela and Kirstin for two years now, and I can honestly say that spending time in the beautiful art studio and giving all attention to a specific painting, sculpture, or another project has been so beneficial to her well-being.
She has flourished from a non-confident child to a very skilled artist, and it will be exciting to see how much more she can learn. If you have a little artist in making, or just a very shy child, I'd recommend signing up for one of the classes by Queen Street Art School in Colchester.

My daughters have been attending the Queen Street Art School both for weekend and holiday courses for over four years. They absolutely love going, and it's given them a lot of confidence in their skills. The teachers are both great with the kids, but also give them the opportunity to try a huge range of mediums. They both inspire and guide them, and I would highly recommend them for anyone who has a child with an interest in art.

My son had a wonderful time, he was so proud of the painting he created, it already has pride of place on his wall. He’s been so inspired by just one session, we’ve bought him lots of new art materials to keep him entertained over the summer holidays. We’re looking into booking weekend sessions during term time.

My 11 year old daughter, Sophie has been attending the art classes on a Saturday for the last few months and what a wonderful way to spend her Saturday morning, being creative. 
Sophie has a real talent for art and has become so much more confident and progressed a great deal since attending the classes. 
Aniela and Kirstin are such lovely kind caring ladies who not only share their passion with the children but are also so interested in what they have to say about how their weeks at school have been and what they have been doing. They give so many compliments and make the children feel so comfortable and provide such a calming environment.

I am always surprised by the standard of work the kids produce; Kirstin and Aniela always manage to draw out beautiful creativity from the children. It's been great to see my daughter's confidence grow in the kinds of art projects she tackles. My 8-year-old daughter has been attending art classes every weekend for the last three years, and it has truly become the highlight of her week. Watching her grow here has been nothing short of amazing.
Kirstin and Aniela are not only incredibly talented artists but also the most caring, encouraging and inspiring teachers. Their ability to nurture creativity while building real artistic skills is remarkable. They make every child feel seen, supported and excited to learn.
Each week, the children dive into innovative, imaginative creations that keep them constantly learning. My daughter has absolutely thrived under their guidance. Her confidence has soared, and she genuinely lives for every single lesson.
I even had the pleasure of attending one of Kirstin's own art exhibitions, and I left feeling inspired by her talent. Knowing that someone with such artistry is guiding my daughter makes the experience even more meaningful.
I cannot recommend Queen Street Art School enough. If you're looking for a class that will spark joy, imagination and growth in your child, this is the place- Outstanding in every way!

​My daughter, now 11, has been attending Queen Street Art School for around four years. During this time, she’s had the opportunity to explore a wide range of media and has built an impressive art portfolio, which recently helped her secure an art scholarship to secondary school. She has exhibited her work with Queen Street Art School at The Sentinel Gallery and at Firstsite. Most importantly, she absolutely loves coming to her art classes, feels inspired and supported, and has made great friends along the way.

My daughter has been attending Queen Street Art school since she was 7 (she’s now 12!). The skills she has learnt are incredible, and her passion for art has grown as a result. Aniela and Kirstin are such lovely ladies and are so passionate about what they do. This summer they set up a gallery in Wivenhoe to display the children’s artwork - it was so wonderful to see and it was a great confidence boost for my daughter to have something non-school related to be proud of. I would highly recommended to anybody with a child who is naturally artist and keen to develop their fine art skills.

​Our 9 year son first attended a Summer art class which he thoroughly enjoyed and has inspired his talent further giving him the confidence and guidance to now sketch animals, people and more. The tutors are so gifted and able to share their skills with their pupils to embrace their skills further. I would highly recommend this art school to all. Many thanks for all your hard work.

I never normally write reviews but this was worth spending the time on. My son had a brilliant time, and commented on how lovely the teachers were; he also produced what I think is a brilliant piece of art!! We will be coming again!
